Nowadays, SD-WAN, software-defined wide area network, is a service where we apply SDN technology to a wide area network. It is used to connect a wide range of corporate networks, data centers, internet applications and Cloud services, which aim to help reduce WAN’s operation cost and improve connection flexibility. Nowadays, with the significant network transformation, more and more applications will depend on the Cloud to process data. It also brings the escalating demands for network security as these data on the Cloud may contain end users’ personal ID, credit card number and other private information.

To meet the demand of enterprise environment such as low power consumption, sufficient I/O, high computing power and small size fitting in limited space, Portwell’s ANS-8A62/64P could be the ideal solution for bridging both sides.

Solutions

ANS-8A62/64P built-in Intel Atom platform (C3558(4C)/ C3758(8C)), which supports Intel QAT, DPDK and Open vSwitch, provides you high security with encryption/decryption functionality.

With a maximum of 12 ports GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) in wire speed and 2 ports SFP+ 10GbE, ANS-8A62/64P satisfies the need for up/downstream channels. Moreover, ANS-8A62/64P supports up to 12 ports PoE/PoE+ with API that allows users to connect power-required devices (PD), such as IP/AI camera and other controllers, to explore a wider scene of application as in factory, office, enterprise, and more.

The Intel Atom C3000 processor series features industry-leading performance, low thermal design power (TDP) and configurable high-speed I/O, which make it an ideal selection to speed up innovation in networks, storage devices, Internet of Things (IoT) and scalable solutions. Besides, Intel Atom C3000 processor series is equipped with Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT). With Intel QAT engine, functions such as IPSec operation, data encryption, decryption and compression can be handled independently. In addition, it spares the CPU resource for other critical workloads and eventually optimizes the overall work efficiency and performance.
