As part of the 2025 Employee Wellness Program, Portwell once again offered a meaningful art therapy experience — the Advanced Zentangle Workshop, inviting team members to pause their busy routines and reconnect with a sense of calm and strength through nothing more than a pen and a sheet of paper.
Zentangle is a drawing method that blends mindfulness with creativity. Using repetitive, unplanned patterns, participants enter a flow state during the process. Unlike traditional art, Zentangle doesn’t require any artistic background or impose right or wrong outcomes — each line and curve is a spontaneous expression of one’s inner emotions. In this advanced course, a professional instructor guided employees through more intricate techniques and compositions, encouraging deeper exploration of pattern layering and artistic expression. The result: artwork with greater depth and a more grounded state of mind.
On the day of the workshop, the atmosphere was peaceful and focused. As employees followed the instructor’s demonstrations and slowly moved their pens across the page, it felt like a quiet dialogue with their own thoughts. When the drawings were completed, the intricate designs revealed on paper brought not only visual satisfaction but also a sense of accomplishment and inner calm.
At Portwell, we believe that supporting employees’ mental health and overall well-being is an essential part of building a sustainable and fulfilling workplace. In addition to fostering professional growth, we are committed to offering a variety of wellness experiences — from physical stretching and hands-on crafts to mindful art sessions — giving team members space to relax and recharge. With that in mind, we continue to develop thoughtful, people-centered programs that go beyond roles and responsibilities, creating a culture where every individual feels seen, understood, and genuinely cared for. When mind and body are well supported, true potential and strength naturally shine from within.
