Planning Expansion, Power and Chassis Compatibility

When selecting an ATX motherboard, evaluate the number, type and lane configuration of the required expansion slots rather than relying only on the physical slot count. Graphics cards and other add-in boards may also affect chassis clearance, cooling and power supply requirements.
