Portwell Showcased Innovative AI Embedded Smart Healthcare Solutions at the 2025 New Taipei City International Trade Fair

Portwell, a global leader in embedded computing solutions, successfully concluded its participation at 2025 New Taipei City International Trade Fair, held on September 17–18 at Hilton Taipei Sinban.

The event, organized by the New Taipei City Government under the theme “Smart New Taipei, Connecting the World,” served as a premier international platform to strengthen brand visibility and foster global partnerships. With a focus on five strategic industries—5G/AI, electric and smart vehicles, smart manufacturing, green energy, and smart healthcare—the exhibition provided Portwell with an ideal stage to highlight its AIoT-driven healthcare innovations in collaboration with key industry partners.

AI-Powered Patient Care: Contactless Vital Sign Monitoring with StreamTeck

At the fair, Portwell and StreamTeck showcased an advanced AIoT-driven non-contact patient monitoring solution designed to tackle global nursing shortages. Using the StreamTeck T60 mmWave sensor (TFDA Class II certified) combined with infrared temperature sensing, the system enables continuous monitoring of heart rate, respiration, and temperature without physical contact, reducing infection risks and supporting overburdened medical staff.

The solution leverages the Portwell PHCP-22011 All-in-One Medical Panel PC as the central monitoring dashboard, offering powerful Intel® Core™ Ultra processing, DDR5 memory, DICOM support, and a 21.5” FHD multi-touch display. By aggregating real-time patient data, the platform enhances workflow efficiency, supports multi-patient monitoring, and empowers nurses to respond faster with greater accuracy.

AI-Powered Brain Tumor Detection Solution with Altewan

In partnership with Altewan, Portwell demonstrated an AI-assisted MRI brain tumor detection platform designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. Powered by the DeepBT™ Detector-Plus algorithm, which incorporates a Dual-pathway Residual U-Net architecture, the solution supports precise tumor localization and segmentation by analyzing complex MRI images with both global and local detail recognition.

This powerful algorithm runs on the Portwell MEDS-7081 medical-grade system, equipped with 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, PCIe Gen5 GPU/FPGA support, and medical-grade power supply. By enabling near real-time AI inference on MRI scans, the system reduces diagnostic time, enhances accuracy, and supports physicians in treatment planning—marking a significant step forward in precision medicine and intelligent healthcare applications.

AI-Powered Real-time Hemodialysis Analysis Solution with Muen

Addressing Taiwan’s high demand for dialysis care, Portwell and Muen presented an AI-based hemodialysis risk prediction platform that enables real-time monitoring and predictive analytics during dialysis sessions. By analyzing arterial and venous pressure, blood flow, and patient records, the system predicts cardiovascular risks and calculates optimal dry weight, improving dialysis accuracy from 80% to 90%.

The solution integrates the Portwell MEDS-P1600 Medical Panel PC, featuring an Intel® Celeron® J6413 processor, 15.6-inch FHD multi-touch screen, and IP65 protection. With built-in AI algorithms, the device supports edge computing for real-time data capture, visualization, and risk prediction. This innovation enhances dialysis safety, reduces physician workload, and optimizes patient outcomes, advancing Taiwan’s leadership in dialysis technology.

Through its collaborations with StreamTeck, Altewan, and Muen, Portwell demonstrated how AI and embedded computing technologies are transforming healthcare, from non-contact patient monitoring and precision diagnostics to intelligent dialysis management.

Portwell extends its sincere gratitude to its partners for their collaboration and to all visitors who explored the company’s booth at 2025 New Taipei City International Trade Fair. The successful showcase not only reinforced Portwell’s commitment to advancing smart healthcare solutions but also highlighted the company’s role in empowering global healthcare innovation through embedded AI computing.
