Racing Against Time to Save Lives: “Critical Life-Saving Skills – Bleeding Control” Health Promotion Workshop

In the critical moments following an emergency, knowing how to properly control bleeding can make all the difference—often buying precious time to save a life. To strengthen employees’ response capabilities and first aid knowledge during traumatic incidents, Portwell organized a health promotion workshop titled Critical Life-Saving Skills: Bleeding Control. Led by an experienced professional instructor, the session combined clear, easy-to-understand explanations with hands-on practice to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of trauma care.

The course covered key topics such as “On-site Trauma Assessment and Response,” “Hands-On Bleeding Control Techniques,” and “Introduction and Use of Common Emergency Tools.” With years of experience in the field of EMS (Emergency Medical Services), the instructor guided attendees through various trauma scenarios, offering step-by-step demonstrations of bleeding control techniques and proper tool usage. This practical approach not only improved participants’ emergency response capabilities but also gave them greater confidence in knowing how to act in life-threatening situations.

The atmosphere was enthusiastic and highly engaged. Many employees shared that the workshop was not only practical but also deeply inspiring—reinforcing the idea that in a critical moment, anyone can be a life-saving hero. From basic bleeding control methods and bandage application to using tourniquets, the instructor broke down the techniques in a way that was approachable even for beginners. A Q&A session and hands-on practice further enhanced the learning experience.
