Portwell, a global provider of industrial computing solutions, successfully concluded its participation at Japan IT Week Spring 2026, held from April 8–10 at Tokyo Big Sight. As one of Japan’s leading exhibitions for system development, operation, and maintenance, Japan IT Week brought together professionals from across the IT ecosystem, covering areas such as embedded systems, edge computing, information security, and data center infrastructure. The event once again provided a valuable platform for industry exchange and technology collaboration.
Under the theme “28 Years Dedicated to Industrial PCs and Embedded CPU Boards: Portwell Japan’s Trust and Track Record,” we presented a comprehensive portfolio of industrial computing solutions, highlighting our long-standing commitment and proven experience in the Japanese market since 1998.
At the exhibition, Portwell showcased a wide range of edge AI and industrial computing platforms designed to support diverse applications across AIoT, industrial automation, and intelligent infrastructure. A key highlight was an extensive lineup of motherboards and CPU boards, including ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and compact form factors such as NANO-ITX and Femto-ITX. Featured solutions included the WADE-807A Mini-ITX board with Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors and FEMTO-8010 1.8-inch Femto-ITX board leveraging the latest Intel technologies. In the Computer-on-Module (COM) segment, Portwell demonstrated scalable solutions including COM Express®, COM-HPC®, and SMARC, such as the PCOM-B65C powered by AMD Ryzen™ Embedded 8000 series and PCOM-B65B with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors.
Additionally, Portwell showcased a wide range of industrial and fanless systems, including the Intel® Atom™ x7000RE series powered compact fanless systems LYNX-8000 Series and RICH-61F0, as well as GPU-enabled workstations for AI inference. It is worth mentioning that Portwell ‘s upcoming PQAI-11XE embedded system powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-X series was also unveiled at this year’s Japan IT Week. In networking, Portwell presented SD-WAN-ready network appliances, including the ANS-12000 Series with Intel® Atom™® processors and the ANS-7A44 Series powered by AMD Ryzen™ V3000 processors. Portwell also presented advanced medical and industrial panel PC solutions including Wincomm award-winning WTP-9K66 AI-driven stainless steel PPC, recipient of the 2026 Taiwan Excellence Award, as well as high-performance edge AI medical systems such as WPC-789-PSI and WPC-76B, complying with medical standards and suitable for demanding environments.
Another key highlight was the RS4U-IC1 industrial PC, featuring eight major international certifications, including CCC, CE, UL, FCC, KC, BSMI, CSA, and UKCA, enabling global deployment with ease. The system integrates a highly reliable motherboard design developed by Portwell Japan’s engineering team and offers local availability in Japan for shorter lead times. The booth also featured industrial tablets with waterproof, dustproof, and robust features, ideal for production management, material inventory management, and other applications.
During the three-day exhibition, Portwell received positive feedback from system integrators, developers, and industry partners, with strong interest in its flexible product portfolio and customization capabilities. We’d like to express our sincere appreciation to all visitors, partners, and industry professionals who visited the booth and shared valuable insights.
